Yesterday, all three of our teams went to the State VEX IQ Tournament. Our elementary teams earned 3rd and 4th place and our middle school team placed 5th in the state of Oregon! Students are busy preparing for the 2023 National Science Day Expo on February 28. Thank you parents and teachers for all of your support as students conduct their experiments and prepare for this fun annual event.
We had a great day at Willamette University. What a privilege for students to get to learn and experiment in the Exercise Science Lab at the Olin Science Center using their state-of-the-art equipment and testing the adults. Thank you Lauren Enns, Miss Gale and Willamette professors for an awesome day!
Both of our elementary school teams joined the middle school team in qualifying for the State VEX Robotics tournament that will be held next month. Team UGARD took first place in the Teamwork Championship and Cosmic Frogs qualified for their outstanding Skills score and autonomous program. Great job students!!!
We had a great time at Willamette Heritage Center today. Students learned what it was like to go to school in the 18th-century and discovered new things in the archaeology lab. The explored the mills and homes and learned a lot!
The robotics teams competed in their first tournament this week. Our middle school team earned the trophy for Teamwork Champions and our elementary students all made it to the finals. Great job students and coaches!
