…because nurturing the success of extraordinary children can change the world.

WELCOME TO SILVERLEAF SCHOOL.  WE ARE GLAD YOU’RE HERE.

Silverleaf School is a private non-profit elementary and middle school in Salem, Oregon. We teach 21st-century skills through experiential project-based learning that incorporates science, technology, engineering, and art on the foundations of teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Ours is an active and collaborative learning environment that prioritizes innovation and creativity.  Silverleaf is carefully designed to foster the success of outside-the-box children.  We nurture whole child development and support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of our students so they can reach for their personal best.  While commonly reserved for 5th grade and higher in traditional schools, we provide Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) to all students in all grades daily.  We nurture each Silverleaf by fostering a foundation of: Respect, Originality, Communication, Kindness, Empathy, Trustworthiness, Boldness, Open-mindedness, Teamwork and Service.

Our approach to education is particularly fitting for learners who require differentiation.  Whether needing acceleration, compaction or additional support in a subject area, Silverleaf is a place where kids can belong while being themselves.  Students foster a strong sense of identity and confidence that that allows them to thrive socially.  Every student is offered the freedom to demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and passions in a supportive  and dynamic environment.
