The unique characteristics of gifted children create qualitatively different life experiences which can make a child vulnerable. These children require special support from teachers, counselors, family members and the community to reach their personal best.
Highly gifted children and their families are largely misunderstood and not afforded the same supports as other families with unique needs.
Being given a place to belong can provide the strong sense of identity and confidence that gifted children don’t find in a traditional school setting, and that is required for them to thrive socially.
We want to help!
We host community events that build awareness and provide education on matters concerning the gifted community. Please check our news page for information and dates for Guest Speakers, Game Days, Vacation and Summer Programs, and Exploration Time. To be added to our mailing list for event announcements email us at email@example.com.
Many of our programs are open to students from other schools. Silverleaf Summer provides action-packed STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) camps to students ages 5-12. Our STEAM Exploration time before and after school also incorporates Art, and may be made available to gifted students from other schools and/or gifted homeschoolers. Fees do apply for all special programs. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
