Advanced Microcontrollers
October 16 @ 4:40 pm - 5:30 pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 09/03/24-10/30/24 Take your microcontroller game to the next level with advanced microcontrollers. This class will take a deeper look at what’s going on at a hardware level. “Intro to Microcontrollers” is not required but you should have some familiarity with microcontrollers and basic programming concepts. Recommended for students grade 5 and up.
VEX GO Class
October 17 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Thursdays 09/05/24 - 10/24/24 Learn the basics of engineering and coding with the VEX GO robotics system. Students will build and program a variety of robots and mechanisms. Recommended for students in grades 3-5.
Math Club
October 17 @ 4:40 pm - 5:30 pm
Thursdays 09/05/24 - 10/24/24 Are you curious about math and want to learn more than what you find in a typical classroom? Sign up for math club and explore new ideas and concepts with like-minded students. The club’s focus will be on problem solving and abstract reasoning, there will be a lot of variables flying around so a familiarity with basic algebra is helpful. Recommended for grades 5 and up.
Intro to Microcontrollers
October 22 @ 2:40 pm - 3:30 pm
Tuesdays 09/03/24-10/29/24 It seems like everything nowadays has a tiny computer in it, in this class you’ll learn how they work and even program one yourself! Students will work with a tiny computer called a micro:bit that can be programmed to do all sorts of interesting things. No previous programming experience necessary. Recommended for students grade 4 and up.
Weekly Engineering Challenge
October 22 @ 3:40 pm - 4:30 pm
Tuesdays 09/03/24-10/29/24 Do you like building things with common household items? Sign up for the weekly engineering challenge and test your skills with other students to see who can build the… (tallest, longest, strongest, fastest) thing out of… (paper, spaghetti, toothpicks, paperclips, and whatnot). Fun for all grades!
