A variety of hands on opportunities to explore robotics, coding and STEM. Come to our classroom and labs or invite us to places where curious students already gather. Coaches customize the experience based on skill level and group size. From a few hours to an entire day STEM encourages team building and modern day technological experiences.

Makecode Arcade

In this workshop students will design and program their own videogame using makecode arcade. Students will learn programming and videogame design concepts while having fun playing and sharing their game with others.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

micro:bit robotics: Robo-Ball!

In this experience, students program micro:bits to drive a robot remotely.

There is a more challenging option to build their own custom modifications to the robot to play ‘robo-ball’ (a game similar to soccer).

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

micro:bit robotics: Line Racers!

Students use block based code to program a small robot to navigate a line following course.

It can also be a competition and race to see who can make theirs the fastest without going off the line.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Engineering challenge

Student’s are give a real world problem to solve with a specific set of components and tools.

Challenge level varies depending on the age of the Engineers.

VEX IQ robotics

Silverleaf’s most popular option!

Students start with a base robot to drive remotely and build for a variety of challenges including ‘robo-ball’, tug-a-war and red light green light.

Additional option for advanced roboticists to code an autonomous program so their creation moves by itself.

VEX GO robotics

For the younger roboticist and beginers, GO bot kits can be built with sensors for tag and line races similar to red light green light.

Great option for exceptionally curious roboticist to start autonomous programing with basic block coding.
